Overview

The mission statement of the Simcoe Muskoka Foster Family Association (FFA) is to provide a voice for the Foster Parents and advocate for the needs of the foster families and foster children in association with Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions, and to provide a support system and forum for foster families to discuss issues of common concern.

Foster caregivers play a vital role in our local region, providing an important service for children, youth, and the community. These families care for children and youth. Like all children those in foster care enjoy attending activities and events with their peers, so the Simcoe Muskoka FFA brings children and youth in care together multiple times a year for summer BBQs, holiday parties, outdoor activities like snow tubing, and beach days.

The donations made through FundScrip assist in funding these events and activities ensuring as many children can attend as possible. It also helps with the frequency and type of events that can be held each year.

Events and get-togethers with other youth and children in care gives them a sense of community, support and an opportunity to simply have fun and hangout.
