Overview
K4Paws receives no government government funding and relies entirely on support from corporate sponsors , local community members, service clubs, and annual fundraising.
Service dogs are used for a wide variety of situations . From people with autism , PTSD and mental health issues to seizure response dogs.
My name is Mark Singer and I proudly served 16 years in the military, dedicating much of my life serving our country. During my service, I was deployed to the front line in Afghanistan as an infanteer, where I experienced the harsh realities of war. Like many veterans, I continue to carry those experiences every day.
Since returning home, I have struggled with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Crowded places, loud noises, and unpredictable environments can be overwhelming and often prevent me from enjoying everyday activities — especially those that mean the most to me, like attending my sons' sports events.
My wife and I have two amazing boys, ages 9 and 11, who love having their dad cheer them on from the sidelines. Unfortunately, my PTSD often makes that difficult. Our hope is that having a trained service dog from K4 Paws, I will be able to regain comfort and confidence in public settings, allowing me to be more present in the lives of my children and reconnect with my community.
A service dog would not only provide emotional grounding and support during stressful situations, but also bring a renewed sense of freedom, peace, and independence to my daily life.
I am deeply grateful to have been accepted to receive a service dog through Kingston 4 Paws. This organization relies on the generosity of donors to continue providing life-changing companions to veterans and others in need.
Your donation will not only help me receive this incredible support, but it will also help Kingston 4 Paws continue their mission — giving more individuals and families the same chance to heal, grow, and reconnect with life. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps pay it forward so that others can experience the same hope, freedom, and renewed purpose that a service dog can bring.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Together, we can make a lasting difference — one service dog, one life at a time.
