Overview

Hi! We are the University of Guelph Cheerleading Team, a passionate and hardworking program made up of three teams: All-Girl, Coed, and our newest addition this year, the Advanced Team. Altogether, we represent the Gryphon spirit with pride, dedication, and discipline. Our athletes train multiple times a week to develop the strength, precision, and teamwork required to compete at some of the highest levels of collegiate cheerleading in Canada.

As a fully self-funded team, every athlete contributes a significant amount financially to ensure that we can continue to perform at our best. This means that every cost, from our uniforms to transportation, comes directly out of our students’ pockets; many of which take on additional financial responsibilities to continue doing what they love. For full-time university students having to balance tuition, living expenses, and academic commitments, these additional financial demands can become overwhelming. Your support helps ease this burden and directly contributes to creating a safer, more accessible, and more successful cheer program for all athletes.

This year, our expenses include:
- Uniforms & Training Gear
- Equipment & Facility Rentals
- Home & Away Competition Fees
- Bus Rental & Travel Costs for our Montreal Competition

By participating in our FundScrip campaign, you’re supporting us by simply purchasing gift cards for stores you already shop at. A percentage of each card goes directly to our team at no extra cost to you, thus helping us train with proper equipment, travel to major competitions, and proudly represent the University of Guelph on the national stage. Every contribution makes a genuine impact on our athletes' ability to pursue their passion and continue the strong tradition of Gryphon cheerleading.
